#Teamwork has always been important. ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ต๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐ป๐ผ ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป. Teams have become remote and hybrid. And this more than ever accentuates the need to create cohesive teams capable of withstanding zoom meetings, time differences, asynchronous communication and lack of coffee breaks.
There are many definitions of the characteristics of highly effective teams. I like the one by Patrick Lencioni, author of “The ideal team player”.
According to him, ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐ญ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐๐ฑ๐ก๐ข๐๐ข๐ญ ๐ ๐ค๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ:

๐๐๐จ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ (learning and contribution mentality)
๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ง (in the sense of emotional intelligence)

The model raises some questions:

โ How can you support your team developing the missing virtues?

โHow can you establish role models for these behaviors?
โ How can you share and communicate behavioral expectations to your team according to this model?
โ How can you implement a system to address violations?
๐ The ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ is that if you have a critical majority of members behaving according to the 3 virtues, the others will necessarily have to adapt or become isolated from the rest or even drop out.
๐It seems to me that the practice of these behaviors, although being a choice, is greatly facilitated in environments of #psychologicalsafety. One more reason to promote it.
